Dr. Donelson has been practicing in Frederick Maryland since 1991. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree from University of Tennessee Medical Units in Memphis, Tennessee in 1975 after having received his B.S. from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA with a major in Chemistry. Dr. Donelson completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC in 1981.
Dr. Shah has practiced medicine in Frederick Maryland since 1998. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree in 1993 from the Medical College in Baroda, India after completing his undergraduate education. His post-doctoral training included working as a Medical Officer at the Jivraj Mehta Smarak Health Foundation and Medical Research Center in Ahmedabad, India and residency at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh from 1995-1998.
Dr. Shah received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth WI. He completed his internship training at Wykoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn NY and completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark NJ. Dr. Shah is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr Shah is actively engaged at Frederick Memorial Hospital and various nursing home and assisted living facilities as well.
Kharen Lapoint is a highly skilled and compassionate nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience in providing exceptional patient care. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). Throughout her career, Kharen has worked in various healthcare settings, including primary care clinics, and hospitals. She has extensive experience in managing chronic conditions, performing routine examinations, and providing preventive care. Her clinical expertise includes family medicine, women's health, and pediatrics. Kharen is known for her patient-centered approach and dedication to improving health outcomes. She believes in empowering patients through education and collaborative care, ensuring they are well-informed and actively involved in their treatment plans. In addition to her clinical work, she is committed to professional development and lifelong learning. She is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Outside of her professional life, in her free time, she loves hiking, reading, and spending quality time with her family. Kharen is dedicated to making a positive impact on her patients' lives and is passionate about delivering high-quality, holistic care.

Dr. Hakim received her medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine in 1992. For two years, she worked at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD as research fellow before she started her residency. Dr Hakim completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education in New Jersey in June 1999. She completed her Endocrinology Fellowship at George Washington University in Washington, DC in June 2001.
Originally finishing her medical training abroad, she practiced as an internist for 4 years overseas. Furthering her education, she got on a research track and received her Ph.D. She decided to focus on healthcare rather than research which she had been doing for 10 years. She completed her physician assistant program and has been with FIMES since 2014. She treats different endocrine diseases including but not limited to thyroid condition, diabetes, obesity, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), osteoporosis.
